Assign Licenses & Permission Sets

Follow these steps to assign GoMeddo licenses and Permission Sets to your users

Assign a GoMeddo License

You can skip this step if you're on a sandbox.

  1. Go to Setup and search for Installed Packages

  2. In the Installed Packages section, click on Manage Licenses next to GoMeddo

  3. In the Licensed Users section, click Add Users

  4. Add the users you want

Create and assign Permission Set Groups

GoMeddo contains permission sets that carry all the permissions needed for Admins, internal Users and Experience Cloud users.

We recommend using those in permission set groups, introduced by Salesforce in Spring '20. The general idea is that you create a permission set group which contains at least three permission sets:

  1. A GoMeddo permission set

  2. One of your own permission sets that expands on the GoMeddo set

  3. A ‘muting’ permission set which disables any unwanted permissions from the GoMeddo set

You can create permission set groups from Setup > Permission Set Groups. For more information, see the Salesforce article Create a Permission Set Group.

This is just one of multiple options for assigning permissions. We recommend the above approach. For more info: Assigning Permission Sets

Permissions Overview

The permission sets included in GoMeddo are described here: Permission Sets.

Automatically assign licenses

If you want to give your Digital Experience (Community) users the freedom to use GoMeddo from your Portal, you may want to automate the license assignment when they register or after a specific action. The following articles give some guidance on how this can be achieved:
